What is the best time of day for a photoshoot?

It depends on the location. We’re often advised that the best times for outdoor photography is during the ‘golden hours’—the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. While these are ideal times for softer and glowy photos, you can get good photos at any time of the day.

What is the best location for a photoshoot?

Natural lighting is the best lighting for great pictures. Outdoors is always ideal, but indoors can be accomplished as long as there is enough natural lighting to work with. If natural lighting isn’t available, I would usually use a white light (i.e. the picture above was shot in a dark basement with only a lamp I manned as a light source).

Should I dress up?

That is entirely up to you! Whether you want to dress up formally or show up casual, that is totally your preference. I am committed to capturing authenticity, so whether you want to pull out the makeup or not is your choice.

I have a pet. Are they allowed?

Absolutely—whether this is engagement photos or family photos, our pets are definitely a part of our family! If you are looking for an individual photoshoot that includes you and your pet, please apply for a Friend Package.

Will my pictures end up online?

Only if you want them to. I would absolutely love to add your beautiful face to my portfolio, but I respect your privacy. You will have the option to forgo having your pictures added to my online collection if that is your wish.
